| Harpbeat!
appeals to children ages three to thirteen in
small or large groups.
Harpbeat! performs in a wide variety of venues, including libraries,
schools, bookstores,
festivals, and parties.
Harpbeat! tailors the length and content of the programs to suit your
needs.
The standard programs offered are:
Around the World in a Harpbeat! -- (Our most popular program). A rollicking fun, interactive, and educational introduction to World Geography for all ages. Harpbeat whisks your students away on a magical, musical tour of the World. Kids (and adults) love the harp, and the hands on introduction to a vast array of ethnic percussion instruments. Visit 7 Continents, hear several different languages, and learn about cultures from Mexico to Egypt and from Japan to Australia. A typical 45 minute program will cover 6 to 7 countries, a list of available Countries follows. (Please note that some songs are age appropriate, i.e., we wouldn't do "Goin To The Zoo" for a 6th grader.) This program is available year round for anyone celebrating cultural diversity or simply as a "fun" Concert.
ˇFiesta! -- Get
ready for a rip roaring south of the Border party, as Harpbeat takes
your students on a musical tour of Mexico and Central America. Latin
music and rhythms are guaranteed to get everyone's toes tapping. Students
will have an opportunity to play and learn about many fun and exotic
instruments, and also take away intriguing information about the culture,
geography and history of this fascinating part of the World. Available
year round, but recommended for Hispanic Heritage Month. (9/15 to 10/15)
and for Cinco de Mayo celebrations in late April and early May. Holidays Around the World! --
Available exclusively in November and December! This
program follows the same format as "Around The World In A Harpbeat,"
and features the following Holidays; Thanksgiving (late November only),
Hanukkah, Depavali, Ramadan, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, Christmas, and Japanese
New Year. The Harpbeat of America--
Travel the USA on a bike, car or plane, Sing the USA
from Yankee Doodle to Motown, Explore the USA from the American Revolution
to Martin Luther King, Jr., Discover the USA from Native Americans to
the "melting pot," Experience the USA through it's music,
the true measure of it's times and people. This program is offered year
round as a fun musical celebration of America. "Musical
Safari" "Harpbeat's
Haunted Halloween" "Animal Fun House" "General
Concert" Harpbeat! Pop & Jazz Trio
-- entertainment for private functions (weddings and parties).
